K. Karunakaran
K. Karunakaran (1918–2010): The Architect of Modern Kerala K. Karunakaran was one of Kerala's most influential political leaders and a senior figure in the Indian National Congress. He served as the Chief Minister of Kerala four times, playing a central role in the state's political resurgence and developmental progress during the late 20th century. His leadership was marked by major infrastructure projects, including the conception of the Kochi International Airport. Beyond state politics, Karunakaran held key Union Cabinet positions, contributing significantly to national policymaking in areas like Industries and Shipping. With a political career spanning over five decades, he left an enduring legacy as a master strategist, skilled administrator, and champion of development. His vision continues to inspire leaders and citizens alike.
